Competition Categories and Groups

  • Categories: Piano Solo, String Solo, Piano Duet, Chamber Music 

  • Groups: Amateur, Professional

Competition Rules and Guidelines

  • Piano Professional Group B, C, and Professional Artist Group must prepare two pieces of different styles, including one work by Rachmaninoff.

  • All contestants in the Professional Divisions must meet the minimum required performance duration for their category. Programs shorter than the required ,minimum will result in point deductions. 

  • All solo categories, except chamber music, must be performed from memory.

  • String solo participants needing piano accompaniment should bring their accompanist or request one from the organizers a month before the competition. 

  • Amateur and professional groups compete separately.

  • The competition is open to participants of all nationalities.

  • The competition may be postponed or switched to an online format in weather or unforeseen circumstances.

  • The organizers have the right to use any photos and videos taken during the competition for promotional purposes without consent or payment. 

  • Participants can use the same or different pieces in each round, but they must meet the repertoire requirements for their group.
