Pianist Felisien has made appearances across North America, Europe, and Asia in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw, Jordan Hall, and Esplanade Hall. She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Boston POPS, Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Semarang Chamber Orchestra, and Oberlin Sinfonietta, and has made festival appearances including The International Holland Music Sessions Summer Academy in Bergen, Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Chautauqua Institution Music Festival, Gijon International Piano Festival, and Puerto Rico International Music Festival.
Felisien holds her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Boston University, Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory and Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin Conservatory. During her studies, she has been an international prize-winner in competitions including the Soloists’s Competition at Boston University, Music Teachers National Association Young Artists Competition, Chautauqua Piano Competition, International Chopin Piano Competition in Singapore, Jakarta International Open Piano Competition, and Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition. Major teachers have included Peter Tákacs, Haewon Song, Stephen Drury, and Tanya Gabrielian, and she has had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with distinguished world-class musicians such as Dang Thai Son, William Grant Nabore, Klaus Hellwig, Jon Nakamatsu, and Robert Levin. In recognition of her excellent academic record and outstanding musicianship, she was elected as a member of Pi Kappa Lambda and placed on the Dean's List Honors. Besides her passion in performing, she loves teaching and collaborating with fellow musicians and artists.
